Preparation for School – leaving exams – foreign languages and more
If you are getting closer to the end of your first study cycle – the feared school-leaving exams – and want to prepare at best, we can help you. Being a language school, subjects like English, French, German and Spanish are our main speciality; however, our staff also deals with tutorship in several middle and high-school subjects. Therefore, if the subject you need help with isn’t a language, contact us and explain to us what your needs are.
As to foreign languages, here you can find some information you can find useful.
The school-leaving exams aim at assessing the student’s actual achievement of the objectives set out by the school. The exam is generally made up of a written and an oral component: in the former, besides a section focussing on grammar, the student finds a series of texts (literary and/or informative texts) with relative comprehension exercises; in the latter, the student is expected to analyze and comment on a literary text he/she has previously read.
It goes without saying that such an exam can be scary and for which one must be adequately prepared. Together, we can set up a personalized program that will enable you not only to analyze and thoroughly comment on a literary text of your choice, but also enhance your critical and analytical skills in reading comprehension and reinforce key knowledge of grammar and use-of-English.
We will read and/or analyze together your text of choice, practice mock examinations, reading comprehension and use of English, as well as revise key grammar areas in your school syllabus.
At our school, you will receive an all-round preparation that will give you the confidence and proficiency you need to ace your exams.
