These intensive, group courses are designed for those who want to dive into the foreign language and boost their language competences. Our intensive courses follow the language levels set by the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR), but each level of competence is broken up into two or more sub-modules, as follows:
CEFR A1: A1.1, A1.2 (elementary)
CEFR A2: A2.1, A2.2 (beginner)
CEFR B1: B1.1, B1.2, B1.3 (pre-intermediate / intermediate)
CEFR B2: B2.1, B2.2, B2.3 (intermediate / upper-intermediate)
CEFR C1: C1.1, C1.2, C1.3 (advanced)
Such a breakdown allows students to find the course that best suits their initial language competence, so as to work in a balanced and uniform classroom – key factor for success in every group course.
The course is made up of 30 hours split over two weeks. Classes go from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (a 3-hour session with a 30-minute break).
Intensive courses start every Monday from July 2018 upon reaching the minimum number of participants (3 people).
Please note: on August 1, classes will be suspended (Swiss national day). A discount would be applied to the fees.
After an intense study session, the bravest can move on to 45-minute lessons of 1:1 tuition in the afternoon (not included in the course fees)
To spend a more relaxing afternoon, students can attend one of our additional workshops or enjoy a trip around the areas of Lugano or Locarno.
